Bright Pillars Launches Monthly Exercise Meet-Up to Strengthen Community Bonds
ATLANTA, GA – May 6, 2025 – Bright Pillars, a community-focused nonprofit known for its commitment to youth development, leadership, and wellness, has launched a new monthly initiative aimed at strengthening community ties through health and movement. The organization hosted its first-ever Monthly Exercise Meet-Up on Saturday, May 3, and the turnout proved that there’s a growing appetite for collective wellness and connection.

Held on the first Saturday of every month, the Bright Pillars Monthly Exercise Meet-Up brings together individuals and families from across the community for a morning of physical activity, positive energy, and fellowship. The initiative aligns with the organization’s broader mission of nurturing holistic growth—mental, physical, emotional, and social—especially among youth and families.
“Our vision has always been about building strong, healthy communities from the inside out,” said Mike Kabala, Executive Memember of Bright Pillars. “This monthly meet-up is not just about exercise; it’s about bringing people together, encouraging healthy habits, and fostering a sense of belonging.”

A Strong Start
The inaugural meet-up took place under sunny skies at Stone Mountain Park, drawing participants of all ages. The event featured a group warm-up, light cardio, stretching, and a guided walk/run. More importantly, it provided an opportunity for likeminded individuals to meet, laugh, and move together in an uplifting environment.
Volunteers from Bright Pillars helped guide the event, offering guidance and support for participants throughout the morning. Many attendees commented on the refreshing atmosphere and expressed eagerness to return next month.
A Vision for the Future
This initiative is just one part of Bright Pillars’ expanding community engagement strategy. By offering consistent, accessible, and inclusive events, the organization aims to break down social barriers, promote wellness, and reinforce its role as a pillar of support within the community.
Future meet-ups will include variations in activity type—ranging from foot-ball and fitness exercises to nature hikes and group challenges—ensuring that there’s something for everyone, regardless of fitness level.
“Showing up once a month may seem small, but over time, these shared moments can transform the way we connect and care for each other,” said Lolo, one of the event participants.
The next Monthly Exercise Meet-Up is scheduled for Saturday, May 31, and all are welcome to attend. Participation is free, and no prior registration is required—just bring a water bottle, comfortable clothes, and a positive spirit.
